How much weight loss to lose a dress size

I know this is different for everyone, but I’d love to read some experiences.

I started out at 15 and a half stone, 5ft 4, and wearing an 18 or 20 depending on the shop.

so far I’ve lost just over a stone and can definitely feel the difference, and my clothes are hanging well, but I haven’t noticed a full dress size drop yet.

how much did you have to lose for every dress size reduction?

I reckon about a stone per dress size but I'm a couple of inches taller than you. Also, the first lb of weight loss are often fluid rather than fat loss so that might now show in the same way. Keep going though, you're doing great!

A good 3 stone for me

Out of interest are you exercising too? Toning up can make a massive difference. I've literally not lost a pound in the last year but look massively slimmer from toning up.

14lbs per dress size roughly

I'm in much the same position. Size, height tight, and weight loss.

I suspect I'm losing weight on the parts of me that don't factor into dress size (like calves and forearms).

Thanks all. I am definitely upping my exercise, with longer walks, cycling at the gym until the weather gets milder for outdoor cycling, and things like aquafit.

so far I definitely think I’ve lost some double chin volume and my bust is smaller. But I would say I am a dress size less.

I’m hoping to lose another stone after the next two months, and I am hoping to see a real difference by then.

My first stone took me six weeks.

I used to go to Slimming World many moons ago.

The rule of thumb was 10lbs loss = 1 dress size down.

Don't know if that helps!
