Question for hairdressers - swimming after getting hair coloured

This may be a stupid question but I got my hair done yesterday, root colour and toner on the ends. I want to take my little one swimming today. Obviously I will tie it up but it's inevitable I will get it wet. Would that be a problem having had it dyed so recently?

My hairdresser always told me to wet my hair before going in the swimming pool as much as possible so it was soaking wet, then have it clipped up and that way it won't absorb as much of the chlorine water
