Any ideas around £20 that I can get on Amazon!

For a distant niece - duty present.

Thanks

Do you have any clues at all what she likes? Can’t you just send a £20 Amazon voucher?

Polly pocket! Firm fave with my dd

Playmobil (this would be my top choice, though maybe not if there is a younger sibling as bits are tiny)
Barbie stuff
Arts and crafts stuff eg aqua beads, Hama beads
Dressing up - could be an outfit or something like a tiara and those long gloves if they are into princesses
Games eg hungry hippos, buckaroo, guess who
Lego
Outdoor games

My five year old niece loves those dolls heads where you can do the hair and make up, play doh, craft kits, Polly Pocket and Hama beads.

Ask her parents. They can steer you in the right direction, let you know what she already has and they might even have a wish list for her.

cherrypied · 29/03/2023 20:30

I don't speak to her parents so that is why I'm asking. Thanks for the ideas!

I'd still like to get a nice present that she is excited to receive. It's a present sent out of familial duty. I don't want to put £20 in a card either which is the other obvious suggestion.

Kids science kit.
hama beads
something very noisy 😂kids keyboard?
something with glitter. Or sand.
(do you have DC? If so, are yours older or will you get sent revenge presents too?)

cherrypied · 29/03/2023 20:36

@FeetOnly Grin thankfully no revenge presents!

Reminded me of my MIL buying husbands nephew a drum kit!!

Good quality colouring pencils / art materials in a tin or box

FeetOnly · 29/03/2023 21:14

Good quality colouring pencils
Personally, I'd hold off on those until she's about 8 or 9 unless you know she's super careful with everything. I'd go for one of those sets of kids pencils which promise they won't shatter if dropped or a massive pack of a rainbow of felt tip pens or glitter glue.

Things that have gone down well here, all on Amazon

  • Polyclay (modelling, bake in the oven)
  • Lego friends / 4+ lego
  • Playmobil eg ice cream cart / treehouse with fire
  • Disco light
  • squishmallow pillow
Scotinoz · 29/03/2023 21:54

My daughters a few years older but things that were popular -

art sets: Hama beads, aqua beads, washimals, fuzzikins, things by crayola
lol dolls
polly pocket
lego friends
sparkly, glittery stuff
barbies
