Can you recommend me a funny podcast series please, to lighten up long drives and hospital visits. Funny, lighthearted and upbeat would be perfect. Podcast novice so not sure where to look or what for. Thanks

I'm a big podcast listener so thrilled to try some of the suggestions that I haven't heard of! Since you said smut is all good, definitely give 'My Dad wrote a Porno' a listen. Utterly hilarious. Also love 'Answer me this' (no longer being recorded but a big back catalogue to listen to) and 'Off Menu', that have already been mentioned.
Some that haven't that I thoroughly recommend are 'The Bugle' (British satire) and The Dollop (very very funny American social history podcast hosted by two comedians). Both have large fan bases. Also BBC'S Friday Night Comedy for the news quiz.

The Therapy Crouch - absolutely hilarious

I like evil or genius with Russell kane, it's both funny and informative. It chooses a famous person each week and the panel of comedians dissect said person and decide whether they are evil or genius. There's loads of them and they're on BBC sounds

Absolutely LOVE 'my dad wrote a porno' absolute genius and just what was needed
