I've had what's turned out to be a very depressive coffee morning with a friend this AM and now its playing on my mind.
For reference, there is roughly 30 years between us. He does well financially.
I also, do well financially, but worry about the longevity of my career choice on my health and want to start building income streams and protect my future.
He said he thinks the county is going to shit and I'd be wise to move my young family (4 and 9) abroad. Aus, nz, Canada as we have desirable skills etc. I haven't even looked into this ever so excuse the blasé reference to moving, they may not even take us even if we wanted!
I have parents I'm very close to and love dearly, and would hate to separate them from my children but the seed is planted that I could be providing them a better quality of life elsewhere.
I'm not sure what I'm asking really. Maybe a "would you?"
In my heart I'd love the adventure but the idea of rebuilding businesses etc elsewhere really puts me off.
