Do you narrate what you're thinking?

I do and DH doesn't and it sometimes causes friction. So if there's something that I'm supposed to be doing I'll narrate my thoughts out loud like "I'll just do xyz then I'll get on to abc" or if we're going out I'll say "I'll just go to the loo/get shoes on/whatever then let's go" whereas DH does not do this. He'll just disappear leaving me standing at the door wondering where he is, how long he'll be. Then if I shout up the stairs for him he'll get huffy that he's only doing x, y, z and why does everything have to happen immediately.

I do if I have a lot to get organised or a lot going on in my head. Verbalising helps keep track of the jumbled up thoughts and to focus on what's important.
eg I know the stuff on the bottom of the stairs needs to go upstairs, but I can do it later because right now I need to fetch my hat and brush my teeth.

It doesn't bother anyone else - it's just me and DS at home and he pretty much ignore most of what comes out of my mouth unless it involves food or money!

I do this all time! I'm usually telling the cat what I'm about to do!!!
DH does it and it drives me crazy! I can't really say anything because I'm just as bad!

Yes, I think that's another reason I do it. Plus being very used to narrating everything to my small children!
