Knife in school

I’m looking for advice. A child took a Stanley knife into school for a few days and this ended with my daughter ‘accidentally’ being cut in the head. The school have said they are doing an internal investigation and we will not hear the outcome. I was given no accident form etc and the knife was rusty. The girl who took in the knife has remained in school. It feels like it will be swept under the carpet.

what should I do? Just leave it with the school or take it further? The girl is 9

You should be told how they are going to keep your child safe - indeed I would insist on being told how your child would be kept safe.
You shouldn't be told anything about the punishment of the other child.
Hope your daughter is ok.

I would report to the police. Schools often try to keep these things hushed up.

Ah I just saw that they are 9, not much the police can do in that case.
