What small automatic cars do buy (good MPG)?

I am someone who has not driven for about 2 years. I prefer to drive smaller cars. I have looked at: Hyundai i10, VW Polo, Honda Jazz, Skoda Citigo, Toyota Yaris etc.. Have looked as VW UP and Toyota Aygo also. Like them but the 4 seats could be an issue as in the future might need a bigger car so ideally need a 5 seat car.

What do you recommend? Yearly mileage travel would be less than 10,000 most done within a 5 mile radius and up to 2 motorway trips a month up to 250 miles return.

I drove a 2003 Mini until just last summer and got excellent mileage from it. Very reliable too.

I had a Mitsubishi Colt. Witch was fantastic

Love my mini, amazing to drive and good mpg.

I did drive a hybrid Yaris recently which I did really like as well so would recommend one of them. It was nippy and easy to drive.
