UberEats, 4 items missing!

HowWoo · 27/03/2023 16:05

I'm not well today and needed some items.

I used ubereats via Co op.

4 items are missing. Not out of stock, just not in the bags. Out of 18!

I can understand one item, but 4? Are they even looking at the list?

They have squares after ecah item, I assume to tick them off as they pick, why aren't they using that feature?

I spent £28 on 18 items and now I don't even have a meal for tea as the main items haven't arrived.

Have left a message with uber eats but I'm guessing it won't be resolved for days.

Sorry, just needed to rant :(

Been charged for them and no emails saying items aren't in stock and receipt shows charged for all.

Use the Uber app to say problem with delivery and identify the missing items 🤷‍♀️

slamfightbrightlight · 27/03/2023 16:09

Yeah, just take a picture of what you’ve received and report it via the app. I had an instant refund on recent order mistake that couldn’t be rectified.

HowWoo · 27/03/2023 16:25

I already have.

I'm just annoyed, like I said 1 item out of 18 is understandable, but to miss 4 they're just not even bothering.

I've got nothing in for tea now for the kids. They'll have to just have plain salad wraps and fruit.

I hate being left in these situations, people with illness rely on these services and they just take the piss.

Yes I'll get a refund but that doesn't help me. I ordered because I needed food.

Suggest if you know this is a potential issue you don't need leave it as late next time to order, such that you can't even feed your DC a complete meal.

I'm disabled. I usually go shopping on a Monday, via taxi.

Today, I'm sick. Really sick.

How exactly can I do better in my situation? Please enlighten me.

They are usually quick to refund missing items. A better alternative would obviously be the actual items you ordered, though! It is annoying.

Yes, that's what I mean. I would really want them to bring the missing items but they won't. A refund doesn't help really. It just leaves me in the same situation as before I ordered. Sure, I'm not down money wise, but I also don't have the food I needed.

Tesco do same day deliveries now. Much better and cheaper than Coop and Uber eats. Is that any good?

HowWoo · 27/03/2023 16:40

Oh I didn't know that, I'll check that in the future. Tesco have always been pretty reliable. Thanks.

It’s called a Whoosh delivery at Tesco OP - good luck! To give the Uber person the benefit of the doubt, there were quite a few things missing in the supermarket when I went yesterday, no eggs at all for example, no courgettes etc. So maybe not beyond realm of possibility that they couldn’t get the items.

Yes but in that case they should be refunded and marked as not available.

Thanks!

I refuse to use UberEats now after a hellish time with a McDs delivery (I know, we'd had a bad day and just wanted a treat though).

I ordered food for me and 2 DC, the fries and drinks were delivered. No burgers. I think it was two Big Macs and a double cheeseburger.

The driver never answered their phone so I complained to UberEats and they refunded me approximately £7. They insisted this was appropriate but it meant I had spent £15 on drinks and fries and had to spend another £15 to get burgers from the local chippy instead which tasted awful. Utterly ripped off by UberEats.

SpinningFloppa · 27/03/2023 16:58

4 items? Lucky you. I was given someone else’s shop! I had spent about £30 and got what would have cost no more than £10! And none of the items were mine

Iceland too.
Good luck with Uber. I don't use it but last week my friend ordered a takeaway. Not a small order either. Estimated delivery 35 minutes. Turned up 1 hour and 40 minutes later, stone cold. Uber take no responsibility for deliveries. Neither do the shops you but from. And there no come back against the people doing the delivery. Neither of us will order from them in the future.

The exact same thing has just happened to me, 4 missing items for my 2 year olds dinner tomorrow! From co op.
but because I’ve truthfully reported missing items before on Uber they arnt doing anything about it! Literally just cried over the stress of not having anything for her lunch now. Rant!
