Does any service take longer to answer than HMRC?

Been on hold for 25 minutes so far, I have to literally book out at least an hour if I need to call them. Can’t do what I need to do online, why can’t they get more call handlers?

Call bang on 8am if you can it's much quicker

Yep, from considerable experience, 8am is the only time you won't be waiting ages.

HMRC staff have been cut massively over the last 5-7 years. Just be kind when you eventually get through.
