Hi my hubby and our 4 month old son are looking to move away from the current quiet rural village.

We love the outdoors, being near water and activities for our boy.

We want somewhere with good schooling, safe, near beach and cafes=restraunts and activities.

Not asking for much ;)
Anyone live in these areas ? (Lilliput or southbourne?) Can you recommend give any further info what the areas are like?

We will be staying next month to check it out further. Many thanks 😊

Hi there
Did you visit these areas and get more of a feel for the places? I'm thinking about southbourne or Christchurch possibly whitecliff as potential areas to move to with a young family. Any insights gratefully received!

Southbourne is near to where I live and it's great!

Depends on your budget I suppose! Southbourne is very nice and connections to the trunk roads (A338, A31 and beyond) better than Lilliput. Lilliput always looks a bit of a mixed bag when I drive through and the coop there seems full of wannabe types completely up their own arse when I've stopped. Presumably some nice normal people must live there too though! Poole is not somewhere I'd personally choose to live, there's quite a lot of deprivation obvious when you go in the town centre. Southbourne, yes I would live there.

I really like southbourne. Hubby is not sure. We both wfh so can live anywhere really. This makes it more tricky !
