I was driving along the motorway yesterday (M11 in Essex) and, spaced about 4 miles apart I saw two large, dead deer on the central reservation. Both had been cleanly decapitated.
How on earth would this happen? If it was just one I could imagine that a deer could be hit by a lorry or something and sustain that kind of injury, but there were two and they looked like quite clean cuts. No other limbs missing, both sustaining quite unusual injuries for a road accident and both in the central reservation.
Any idea on how this happened? My friend thinks it's illegal trophy hunters looking for antlers, which I get (🙁😡) but why would they be in the middle of the motorway?
