Daisy May Cooper tipped to be 'M' in upcoming Bond films

Do you think Daisy May would be a great M, and if not who would you choose? I can't say I know much about her, I don't think I've ever seen her in anything. If I had to cast M I'd choose Anna Maxwell Martin.

I personally favour a Bond-Motherland crossover, with Julia as M juggling her kids with keeping tabs on Bond, while her in-laws “help” her and her husband keeps phoning to remind her to pick up some chamois cream on the way home from work.

Though if it has to be DMC, we really need Kurtan to play Q.

Amazing Grin Kevin could be Q and Liz could be moneypenny, and M could scream 'for fucks sakes Bond!'

Actually that's given me a great idea you know. A motherland/this is going to hurt crossover with Julia having another baby and Ben Wishaw delivering it.

I read it’s so they can bring some ‘comedy’ to the role. If it’s true, I think it’s a big mistake.

DMC trained as an actress at RADA.

Are they attempting to reinvent the Bond films with a new cast? I was kind of hoping they were just going to slot in a new Bond. I think they need to tread carefully not to undo the improvement they made in the DC era. And I agree, M is a serious role, someone who has ascended the ranks in the military/civil service, to cast someone who doesn't fit that criteria completely undermines the role. Unless they are deconstructing they whole story and M is actually just an imaginary figurehead. M is his 'kind but fair' school teacher, Q is the alternative, comic-loving boy who works in the local cafe. Confused

Don't think so. I hope it's Regé-Jean Page. They could hardly find someone who could play a sexy debonair action man any more convincingly surely?

Oh god, please no for Anna Maxwell Martin. Yes to daisy. Anna is just as dour and ill humoured in real life as she comes across as in many of her roles. She would put me right off the franchise.
