New starter jitters

I’m going to be joining interviews for a replacement member of our team with my boss. We’re a small team of five. I’m good at my job and have good reviews in my time at the firm. Why do I feel worried by a new starter? I feel anxious and wonder if they’re going to better than me. Why do I feel this way? Am I being silly?

How old are you? When I reached perimenopause I started to feel the same way, I lost confidence in myself and became quite anxious at work.

I’m 35 but I think I’ll just have to pull myself together! Sure it will all be ok… just wish I didn’t feel this way.
