Hi all - first time posting so please be nice 🫠 I’ve had a notification on my universal credit to say that my claim is undergoing review, I’ve sent all the relevant documents they’ve asked for , someone contacted me to say I would have a telephone interview next week to discuss!
Has anyone had this happen to them and is this something to worry about ? Ive got nothing to hide so I’m hoping it’s a quick call and all will be back to normal!

have you got a partner ? It could be they think you’re not single if you’re claiming as that

HighInfidelity · 29/03/2023 22:48

Is this a new claim or an ongoing one? I had that as part of a new claim a few years back and it just seemed to be a routine thing.

If your started your claim during covid then they are checking a lot of these claims fully now as the checks done then were no where near as thorough as normal due to covid.

Nope no partner! Single mum to two children, I managed to phone them and they explained it’s a routine thing and by the end of 2024 everyone on universal credit will have had this done, they want to basically see if everyone’s being paid correctly so I’m
Not worrying now :)

Hi, looking for a bit of advice
I left my partner, I am privately renting with kids, I received capital over 16k and given a 6 month grace to get a hours of my own. Where I stay is expensive and I worked part time so couldn’t offer at the time.
i now work full time still on a low ish wage but have worked out I could now buy a small
house based on my wages and my future entitlement to UC.
however, I am now having trouble getting a mortgage on a what if!!!
I will have no capital left at all as all going to be used for the deposit.
i don’t know what to do as can’t afford to keep renting privately and can now afford my own house.
is there any UC rules that would allow me to take something to my bank?
I’ve put an offer in for a house.
