Suggestions for book for year 6 leavers

I’m part of the school PTA are we’re wanting to give all our leaving year 6 students a book from the PTA. Looking for recommendations. It would have to be something suitable to girls and boys. I’ve seen dictionaries and atlases mentions but not 100% sold on these.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

We give ours an autograph book/ journal type thing.

As someone who loves books in any form, I think this is a bad idea. Most of the books will be thrown away/given to local charity shops.

The autograph book idea is good.

The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse.

Children's librarian here..... don't get a dictionary, thesaurus or atlas they won't get used, it is a lovely idea but you will waste your money. Get them each a book token or get them each to pick a book from a catalogue then they can choose their own and there is a much better chance they will be used and enjoyed.

I agree that you should get them to choose from a list.

The DC's primary school gave them an autograph type book, with the last class photo on the front, and their first one on the back, all branded up with the name of the school, "class of 2022", a goodbye message printed on the inside cover. They spent their last day writing messages on each other's books.
