What to buy in primark?

I'm going to a big primark today - not been for about 6 months.

Is there anything worth looking out for? Do they still have kids wetsuits? Are their perfumes any good?

Unsure of the wetsuits. But whenever I go I always keep an eye out for the kids shelves with the cheap leggings/shorts, and tshirts and jumpers. Recently its been like £1.30 for a pair of shorts and then about the same for the matching top. Ideal in the summer months just to play in. I bulk buy when I see them.

I recently got some memory foam summer trainer/shoe things, almost like the old flossys? But really comfortable and breathable. They have them in white, grey and black.
I always think a trip to primark is a good time to get some new p-jays too! Their Disney collection is always cute, and cheaper than most other shops.

Nothing. I went for the first time at Christmas and bought some clothes. All have now fallen apart. Not even 3 months!

They are doing sliders in different colours for £5 - blue, pink and mauve. They are great. Primark are good for rucksacks and children’s T-shirts.

Their big bottle of micellar water and large oval cotton wool pads. Great for make-up removal. And £2.90 for both.

Plain vests and long sleeved t shirts. Exactly the same as sold for 5x the price in M&S. i suspect made in the same factory!

discobrain · 25/03/2023 09:24

Fuck Primark..

Worldgonecrazy · 25/03/2023 09:35

Primark may promote fast fashion but they also regularly score high in the ‘treating producers decently’ category. The prices are low because of their corporate structure, and flat purchasing chain, not because they are trying to screw the manufacturers down on price. Yes I was surprised to learn this too!

Basic tshirts in the women's wear and.... ummm....

Nothing much else at the moment. There just doesn't seem to be anything I like

(My oldest tshirts from there are at least 3 years old, I top them up with extra now and then but none have fallen apart. I have jumpers that are 10 years old and the cotten bra and knicker sets up to 17 years. I really dont get the everything falls apart theory)

Basic T-shirts and vests in ladies and pjs. My teen dd loves the seamless sets they do.
Often get ds hoodies, joggers and T-shirts.
Socks I like the cushioned trainer liners teen likes the white basic ones.
3 in 1 brow pencil and face masks are a good buy. Nail polish is good but limited colours.

Perfume is a good shout… usually a dupe

My current work one is Tease, although I bought it a while ago. I believe it’s very similar to one of the Valentino perfumes, I’ve had lots of lovely comments.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 25/03/2023 09:50

Their fine knit polo necks and other neck knits are nice, reusable cotton pads, body scrub, their PS naturals moisturiser.

I don’t get much else from there as it can be hit and miss.

SquashPenguin · 25/03/2023 09:52

We went last week, I hadn’t been in months. It was crap, we left.

yoshiblue · 25/03/2023 09:55

Period pants
Trainer socks
Cheap cotton pyjamas for Spring/Summer

Most of it is tat!

purpledalmation · 25/03/2023 10:01

Got some nice kids t shirts with the 'among us' brand, which DS loves.
