I’ve had a glass of wine, no dinner and am about to watch THAT episode of ER

You know, the one where our favourite doctor with an English wife dies?

Not going to end well, is it?

I bawled my eyes out when i watched it back in the day. I still would.

This is at least my 3rd rewatch and it’s made me bawl every time. Watched the episode where he worked his last shift last night and all signs point to me doing it again.

Still my favourite show though.

I watched the one with Pratt the other day and Morris's face when he realised it was the end made me cry for hours. I'd forgotten how powerful it was.

I cried slightly less when Pratt died.

Doctor Green?

movehimintothesun · 24/03/2023 20:09

You could follow it up with the double header of episodes where Carter and Lucy get stabbed... if you fancy a really extra long sob. 😭

waterlego · 24/03/2023 20:12

Nevermind the telly, why haven’t you had any dinner?

slamfightbrightlight · 24/03/2023 20:12

This makes me want to start ER from the beginning! Which steaming service is it on?

I've had wine at the pub, peanuts and crisps, and now I want to watch that, what season and what number episode please

Teatime55 · 24/03/2023 20:28

Pratt dying annoyed me more than anything. He was a good guy, his GF had cancer. It seemed unnecessary to kill off another character.
Mark dying was well handled and heartbreaking.

I cried. A lot. I sat with my hood up so my husband couldn’t sit and watch me cry (he thinks me crying at the TV is hilarious).

No dinner as my Sainsbury’s delivery was late so hadn’t arrived. Sat and had some pizza while watching the episode after the one where Mark does which is the one where they think there’s a case of smallpox and Romano gets his arm chopped off my a helicopter - quite the double header!

ER is on All4 but if you have Sky you can download it from box sets. It’s all we’ve been watching for months now and we’re up to season 9.
