Could this be mould?

I’ll start off with hands in the air and admit that I am struggling a lot with anxiety and have a history of IBS and issues with food.

I have just been thrown into a major panic attack and need someone to talk me down from it…..please!

I have just opened a pack of flame grilled chicken pieces which are in date until 29th March (not something I eat much of).

Had consumed a few pieces and went to eat this chunk and saw this black area and now panicking it’s mould! I have a huge fear of food poisoning with a diarrhoea and vomiting fear.
It smelt ok and the other pieces tasted fine too but my excessively anxious brain is currently telling me I’ll succumb to salmonella in the near future ffs!!

The (very) quiet, rational side of my brain is whispering that it’s probably a bit of chargrill as it’s flame grilled chicken (although none of the other pieces have this)

I don't eat anything like this so can't be certain but could it just be a bit off the 'flame grill' like a charcoal type thing?
