8 year old playdates

Just wondering what your 8 year old daughters do on playdates? I feel they've outgrown playing with toys (my daughter still does but her friends don't as much) and worry that there isn't much to do at our house. I don't want our house to be deemed boring! She now has an Alexa in her room but surprisingly hasn't used it much yet. Would love to hear experiences and ideas. Thanks!

Thanks! We're a fairly low tech household re gaming etc so looking to improve that. But crafts and chatting definitely! 😁

Aqua beads and loom bands have been popular here.

Mine still played with toys. Or cardboard boxes.
recycling and glue gun
board games
Go to the park.
science or craft kit

Honestly, if I'd found out my 8 year old had watched YouTube on a play date, they wouldn't have gone back.

make chocolate crispy cakes, art and crafts. Make lotions and potions in garden with anything not nailed down. Done each others hair, make up a play/dance.

My DD tends to do:
Lego
Gravitrax
Play in the garden (made up games on the climbing frame)
Nintendo
Dungeons & Dragons
Sylvanian Families
