Ramadan gifts

Hi all I have Muslim neighbours and was wondering if it was appropriate to give them a gift for Ramadan? Or is it better to wait until Eid? If so what would be an appropriate gift? Thanks

My Muslim neighbour often gives us boxes of dates for Ramadam.

You can give gifts for either Ramadan or Eid. If you're giving a Ramadan gift then I'd suggest something food related like dates or a box of chocolates. If you're giving an Eid gift then maybe a candle or flowers
