Anyone had experience of Heathrow pick up recently? Whats the time for passport/baggage reclaim?

Could anyone give me a rough idea of processing times for Heathrow arrivals? I used to work on the basis of an hour after arrival of flight but has this lengthened due to covid/undertsaffing/other matters?

Dearest mother, father in law and aunt from a flight arriving at 6:30pm on Saturday at Terminal 3 at Heathrow.

Its a long haul Qantas from Australia via Dubai so I presume there will be lots of luggage and lots of people to process.

I dont want to arrive too early and have to wait for ages (and pay unnecessary parking costs) but equally I dont want them to be waiting around fretting after a long flight!

Anyone with recent experience?

I did a pick up just before Xmas and doing another one next week. Last one was about 30-45mins and am anticipating similar for next week. I don't recall there being any lengthy delays.

We've done four within the last year. Seems to take about 35 mins. If it's someone who'd be ok on their own though (and you don't want to pay too much for parking), I'd arrange to meet them about 75mins after flight landed just in case - they can always go for a coffee or have a potter around while they wait for you.

I flew into T5 on Sunday and was very impressed with the speed and efficiency at security. Admittedly this was only from Europe and not long haul, but we were hustled through easily within about 30 minutes.

Not London but I flew into Manchester last week when the strikes were on, also from Australia, and I was through passport control in minutes and the luggage was on the belt when I got to the baggage reclaim hall.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my original post - it seems to have taken about an hour for them to get through and pick up luggage etc. I arrived 45 minutes after the flight arrival time and was ready for them when they came through

I think if they had been younger people with less luggage it would have been closer to 50 minutes.
