Hi, I'm a 35-year-old Manchester United fan and domestic abuse survivor/campaigner, I've had a lot of survivor's of abuse who are fans want to speak out but sadly are scared about legal action if they do. I wrote an op-Ed speaking to fans, mum's of young fans and survivor fans about the rumored option of Mason Greenwood's return, no national news outlet would sadly take it as legally worried to so self-published on my Substack. Keen to know what other women who follow the club or whose children do feel about this?

Hi David, I am a football fan but not a MU supporter. I follow you on Twitter and have already re-tweeted your post.
Sadly I think a lot of fans do not give a damn about what the players do off the pitch.

There was a very angry response from
Sheffield United fans a few years ago when the Ched Evans case was going on. I’m the end his conviction was overturned, but he was not welcomed back at the club. Several high profile fans spoke out at the time as well as the general fan base.

I know that Val McDermid the author withdrew her sponsorship of Raith Rovers after they signed David Goodwillie. He was not convicted of rape but his accuser won in a civil trial.
