Balayage help please!

I have 70% Grey, 30% brown

not ready to go fully grey so have highlights/tint

have been told I can’t have balayage as the re growth would be unmanageable/ almost constant

is this true and any other ideas? Thanks!

I have balayage, not too much grey yet. I get my hair coloured about once every 3-4 months. I alternate between just getting the tips done and getting the roots and tips done.

It is expensive and if your hair grows fast then it will be more expensive. But if that’s what you want - both roots and balayage done then go for it. If after a few months / a year it does prove to be too time consuming / expensive then you can always think again and get one whole colour or let the tips grow out.

I have balayage and my hair has a lot of grey.
I use root dye, hairdressers hate "box" dyes but I buy the small box specifically for roots and touch up just my roots every two weeks, literally dab it round my hairline and my parting then section the top and dab some on.
Doing it yourself will save you a fortune, I go to the hairdresser every 7 weeks for a trim, toner and roots, my roots would be horrendous if I didn't keep on top of them myself in between appointments.
It's really easy, I'm no hairdresser!
