Short hiking break with teen dd

Dd and I are getting in to hiking. I'd love to have a short break with just her where we can do a couple of days hiking and spend some quality time together. I don't want anything too strenuous, although we're both reasonably fit, we're not looking to conquer Everest or put ourselves vastly out of our comfort zones, just to spend some time together, enjoy some nice views and stretch our legs. Thinking 12-15 miles a day. Ideally it'll be within a train ride of London and have a lovely pub/hotel/air BnB we can stay in and have a nice dinner. Bonus points for something interesting to explore, whether it's a town, castle, stately home, etc.
Any recommendations?

New Forest maybe? Train to Brockenhurst is about 90 mins from Waterloo, there’s plenty of places to stay there and in the surrounding areas. Pretty easy hiking but not completely flat, some of the walks use gravel tracks so it’s not too bad if there’s been rain. It’s nice to be amongst the horses etc too and there’s also lots of good pubs/food places.

Has to be on the train, no car travel at all? The Shropshire Hills are beautiful, amazing long hikes with lovely accommodation, pubs etc, but not massively train accessible.

New Forest probably your best bet by train. Or Surrey Hills? I think you can get close to the Devil's Punchbowl by train and that's gorgeous.

Catch the train to Eastbourne and hike along the South Downs Way - beautiful coastal walk and not too strenuous

Train from Paddington to Newport, then Newport to Abergavenny. Hike in the Brecon Beacons. Visit Raglan Castle.
