Hi. I'm currently living in a 2 bedroom flat in north Chingford with partner and my 2 year-old. We are looking to move to a 3 bedroom house with budget 850k. We like North Chingford, but with the little research I've done the state schools around here are so so. I like the sound of Winchmore Hill with the little research I've done online, but know it's quite a small area, anyone know much about the area, and what it's like to live in as a young family?
Not sure whether to broaden search to Barnet to give us more options, or to stick with North Chingford area as it's quite pleasant and more affordable. The important things for us is that there are good state schools, leafy green areas nearby, within our budget and preferably within greater London

Primaries in N Chingford are fantastic, it’s the secondaries which are less so, but you have time to make a decision there/ for them to change.
