Yea, have been since 2008. Left for a year at sone point, came back due to really good G&E rates. Now I want to leave (certainly broadband) as they're putting all service costs up in May.

I've been with for years and am very happy with them. Their customer support has always been brilliant. I've been through an account switch to me (post divorce) and a house move. All gone really smoothly and I got to talk to real people who were helpful. Their standing charge is lower than most too (but I do have my phone and broadband with them as well) I've never used the discount card, not really into that. Their bills are easy to understand.

You don't have to join them via one of their "partners" (Ie people who get a commission to sign you up) you can just phone them and sign up.

I know a few people who are with utilities warehouse and have had nothing but problems with theme. Bills charged wrong and terrible customer service 🙄

Utility Warehouse are a MLM and as such, even without their appalling customer service record, is to be avoided.

They use marketing that is very suspect and sometimes illegal as they put pressure on their 'members' to recruit.

Having done extensive research, Octopus seem to get the best customer service accolades, although they are so popular I hope they don't grow to big to cope with their customers.

I wouldn't touch Utility Warehouse with a bargepole

Is anyone offering rates below the cap?

What are your current rates?

I've never had any pressure on me to recruit anyone and I've been with them since 2008. Two of my dc signed up with them after negative experiences with other providers, they simply rang them and signed up after asking me who I was with, no one recruited them.

What on Earth is this 'pressure' you're talking about?

We have been with them for 14 years and haven't had any problems that they couldn't deal with. The customer service we received recently was brilliant. They fixed the internet issue and sent us a new (free) router which arrived the next day.

No-one else can touch the FIT rate that we get from them for our solar panels either. And they have never asked us to recruit new members.

Other service providers where we live seem to suffer more outages than we do as well.

Octopus have a tracker tariff which follows wholesale prices - today my electric is under 20p/kwh and my gas is under 5p/kwh, standing charges are the same as their standard variable rate. There's a 6 month waiting list to join tracker at the moment though.

I've been with them since last summer and can't fault them.

We always paid our bills on time and kept our readings up to date every month. Got a better rate with another company after roughly 4 years with them and had to pay just shy of £800 in "fees" same thing happened to my mum.

I second this. Never felt pressure to recruit.
