So far they’ve been extremely expensive or in really naff hotels. I like the Lifehouse in Colchester but would like to compare with others. Anyone got any recommendations along please?

Have you looked at the Brooklands Hotel in Weybridge. Quiet a few friends have staid there and rave about the spa despite it not being in a picturesque location. Also have a look at Groupon...tho I've not done that for a long time.

Greenwood wasn't too bad. Orsett Hall isn't somewhere I'd personally recommend, just didn't tick boxes for me. Life house I never hear anything bad about l. Day spa Nirvana Wokingham is lovely
