Monster munch

Just had a bag of pickled onion monster munch, hadn't had them for years but raised the kids snack box.

Six monster munch, six, and four had three toes not four!

Multipack bag so smaller but surely there used to be more than six?! I'm going back for another bag...

Monster shrinkflation.

MyMachineAndMe · 20/03/2023 16:34

Dunno but I love beefy monster munch. I could eat loads so I daren't buy them!

Laiste · 20/03/2023 16:41

I had a packet of frazzles the other day - less than half full ! The packet was 2 thirds air.

Monster munch - i'm sure they used to be bigger? (i know my mouth has grown but still ... 😂)

Don’t get me started on hoola hoops or lack of 😡

Bought a Lidl own brand version of these for the kids. A multipack variety with monster munch, onion rings and something else. One of the kids opened a bag and found ONE monster munch. One!!!!! I figure it was a mistake. At least I hope so😂

We bought Wheat Crunchies yesterday. 6 crisps in a single pack 😂 I was so excited about DS eating something from my 90s childhood but was gutted when I saw the stingefest inside.

Nice to have small problems though. I'm relishing in the disappointment (in a silly, lighthearted, appalled kinda way)

Makes a change from my endless job hunt / health worries and money woes.

Who remembers Monster Munch with Tazoos / Pogs inside??

Hula hoops don't even fit on my kids' fingers anymore unless you get the 'big hoops'. Travesty.

I love monster munch but I live in Germany where it is not available, so I have to smuggle it back from the UK, along with ginger nut biscuits.

Changemynamechangemyname23 · 20/03/2023 17:19

@Lovelynondriver I do!!

BillyNoM8s · 20/03/2023 17:25

I thought you were gonna complain about the fact they've lost their sharp, sour, powdery, crumby goodness. They're dry now, a mere shadow of their former selves, regardless of number of toes.

So many of my favourite things have been ruined.

Although a salt n vinegar Square is truly the crisp of the Gods, I craved the tangy goodness of pickled onion Monster Munch when pregnant.

I also miss the days when crisps were fried and not baked and would leave grease on your fingers. Bring back 90s Frazzles.

gogohmm · 20/03/2023 17:40

You need a grab bag from the petrol station Grin

I justify Grab Bags as my form of inflation.

I order from British superstore..can’t be without McCoys salt & vinegar! 😂

Wineat5isfine · 20/03/2023 18:03

Yes!! Purchased a big multipack of monster munch last week. Each pack averages about 5/6 crisps. Not cheap either.

And don’t get me started on the cost of a small jar of bovril…£4.80!!

TerrysGotPeeves · 20/03/2023 18:52

If you want a good pickled onion punch in a decent sized bag, you want some Mega Meanies netcrisps.com/products/mega-meanies-pickled-onion-box-of-48-packets-30g-netcrisps
Loads in a bag and really strong. They'll weaponise your breath, but are absolutely worth it 😂

Thanks, Endoftheworld, DH buys me Tesco tea bags from there so I will ask him to get Monster Munch next time.
