Why is this ok? Surely people need to hear the good and bad to make an informed choice on schools rather than be lead into a situation that is informed by good marketing, only to find out the hard way that the school is completely unsuitable, doesn't meet their expectations and creates potentially heartbreaking stress for families?
I just posted a fact based experience on a thread about a certain school in the south east and faster than I could pop to the bathroom and back, it had been taken down.
It wasn't sensationalist or libellous, it wasn't goady, it was a cold hard fact about being asked to leave for not keeping up. I have the letter by way of proof, no falsehoods, just a factual experience for my DC.
Surely It's only defamatory if it's untrue?
Had I realised that this school only wanted a certain type of child, I would not have put my dc through this. I did my research at the time, but how can you research properly with the narrative being controlled so tightly.
I am also very open to being told why this is a good thing, as I actually find it quite upsetting, having our experiences dismissed out of hand like this.
