Hair wrapped around necklace -any tips?

I wear a thin gold chain with a pendant nearly every day. I find that the hair at the back of my neck wraps around the chain neat the fastening and builds up. Are there any clever ways of getting rid of this pseudo-dreadlock??

Hair removal cream?

I had the change the chain on my favourite necklace for this reason :(

Hair from your head? You could probably find some thin clear plastic tubing to slide over the clasp area, not sure how effective it would be.

Flour! Works a treat on loosening hair and tangled chains. Must be totally dry.
