Mistake on kids passport app, just submitted!

Okay I am an idiot. But I am also dyslexic so that is my current excuse...

I recently completed passport apps for my 2 daughters. Submitted first, thought it was all fine. Then completing second, I realised I must have ticked a box wrong on the first as it asked me for different evidence (birth cert not registration cert). I also think I might have put in my wedding date wrong, and also the place she was registered... So quite a lot of errors! Really annoyed with myself and wish I had got my husband to do the form...

I haven't yet passed details to a colleague to get identity confirmed, or submitted evidence.

Is there a way to correct the mistakes as I assume the app won't be processed until they get the identity confirmation and evidence docs?

Any advice appreciated!

Yours truly,

Passport Idiot

Have you paid?

I made a mistake on ds's passport renewal application - spelt his name wrong! I rang them the next day (rang at 9 am, got through straight away), and confirmed that I wanted a "like for like renewal". They made a note of this, and told me to put it in a covering letter when I sent his old one back. Give them a ring! I found them really helpful. The number I used was 0300 222 0000.

...., got the new passport 6 days later, with the correct name on.

I have paid yes. I did the online form. I haven't yet got identity confirmed (as don't want my colleague to put their name to something incorrect!) Or sent off their birth certificates.

Okay I will ring them on Monday and hope they will be able to help.

Was wondering about getting colleague to confirm identity then send a letter with the corrections with birth certs, but better to ask for advice first!
