S21 or Pixel 6? Or...?

Can anyone help with a bit of analysis-paralysis? I am so sick of looking at phones!

I need a decent-ish camera, a non-headachy screen, and a battery that will last all day. Does anyone have any experience of either of these, or other similar phones?

I need to replace an S7 and am looking for something that will last a few years. No contract, probably refurbished to get the best value but not too old because researching them today has made me concerned about security updates.

These two are really at the upper end of my price range so I'd prefer to stick at under £300 - I've already upped my price expectations quite a lot today - when did phones get so expensive?!

Thanks so much in advance!

I have the Pixel 6 and the battery does not last all day, camera isn't great, it's good, but not great. I've had it probably a year and am already looking for an upgrade
No idea on Samsung as I don't know anyone who has one

Samsungs are miles better than Pixels. I have a Pixel 6a and it's quite poor compared to my S20fe. I only chose it because all the Samsungs are too big for my wee hands. I'll be going back to Samsung once they produce a smaller phone.

I've currently got a galaxy s20fe and had a pixel before that. I much preferred the Google and wanted another one but Currys messed up my order (long story). I'd say the camera was better on my pixel, but the battery was worse. I've actually had less technical issues with the Samsung, the Google kept freezing towards the end of 2 years. I'd say the Samsung is more reliable.

I've got the S20fe and the camera is great, I'm a hobby photographer and rarely take my 'proper' camera out with me now unless I'm wanting to photograph something that I'll want to enlarge and print off for the wall.
It's great for photographs that you just want for social media.

I also really liked the camera on my old Huawei.

I have the Pixel 6 and the battery lasts more than a day (and I use it a fair bit). Cameras are also great. No complaints. Switched from an iPhone so wasn't sure what to expect, but pleased that I did.

There's virtually no photo editing on the Pixel. I'd think you'd need to download an app for that. You can do loads of editing on the Samsung.

Thanks for the responses. I'm also a bit dubious about the large Samsungs but I felt the same last time I got a bigger phone so I'm hoping I'll get used to it.

I will consider the S20 too.
