Teenagers and Mother's Day

I just saw a group of teenage boys/young adults in the supermarket. All in high spirits, laughing with each other around the flowers buying bunches for their mothers.
It cheered me up as I saw them all walking out, clutching their flowers, trying to stay cool Smile

Teenager boys can be lovely . Mine has not had a great few years, some fairly challenging behaviour, dropping out of sixth form etc. He has just taken me for lunch at the cafe he works at. Proud mum!

So sweet. Mine have just come back with some cookies for me and a gift for their dad too.

My 18 year old is currently making me a meal. He bought me flowers and chocolates and made me a beautiful card (we encouraged them to make cards from a very young age and both still do it).

Lovely to hear about these fab teenagers. Most people are so negative about them.

I have seen a few teenage boys (and it’s only been boys, or boys I have noticed anyway!) out the last few days buying cards and flowers for what I presume is their mums. I think it’s lovely too xx

I have a lovely 17.5 year old DS, he is working full-time with an Apprenticeship so now has money of his own. He came into my bedroom this morning , jokingly wishing me a happy mummy's day and flung a bottle of perfume at me. He dud apologise fir not wrapping it tho 😂. Same can't be said about DD 16, generally a good kid and hasn't got money of her own (apart from ring fenced savings) so to be fair not as easy. She only realised the day this morning after being on socials and obviously hadn't thought to ask her dad 🤷🏼‍♀️

DS (17) did bring me pancakes and bacon in bed, and bought me some tassels for my boots

Though he did say it was bothering him only seeing one red tassel on the tassel tree (had lost one)

He has now commandeered the spare tassel
