Happy Mothers Day 💐

I'm first up, as always, and just enjoying my first cuppa, in silence. The girls won't be up for ages yet - dd1 got up at 3am to watch someone's stream of Taylor Swifts second night of her Eras tour, and dd2 was grumpy tired yesterday.

I'm still feeling under the weather so a very lazy day planned. There are school shirts to iron, and a load of towels to wash.

The rest of the day I'm hoping to spend napping and crocheting (not at the same time!). I'll check homework's all done too.

Not a clue what's for tea yet 🤷‍♀️ nothing labour intensive, I don't think!

Morning! I was left by DH and DS to have a lie in. They recently woke me up with coffee, flowers and chocolates with strict instructions to DS to leave me in bed a bit longer. So that's nice! I've already tucked into the chocolates.

I'm just going to take it easy today and I did most of the housework yesterday. Breakfast is cooking and DH is making a big roast dinner later. We also have a nice bottle of red wine to open.

Good morning Lucysmam. I've been throwing up last week and thought it had passed, but no. This morning hasn't been fun. I should be sitting with my friend as she's dying but I don't want to inflict this on the others, in case it is a bug. So I'm not having the best day. Dd will call in later with a Mother's Day gift so it'll be nice to see her and the boys.

Good morning @lucysmam and happy Mother's Day.

DH was working late last night so I was up with the kids at 7am (this is a lie in for me actually so I'm delighted!) I have uniforms all washed and hung out, the dishwashers been loaded and switched on and toddler is now going down for a nap (I'm MNing under the duvet in the bed beside her!) when she's sleeping properly I'll have a bath, get dressed and get us all ready to visit family. Then after that we'll go out for dinner and home for bedtime and collapse in front of the telly!

Morning. I enjoyed breakfast in bed this morning, now I’m helping with homework before heading to my mum’s to spend the afternoon there. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there!

DH came to ask what special meal I would like for Mothers Day and as DS is home for the morning I went for breakfast pancakes. DH has made some, I had one with white chocolate and kiwi and a second with sugar. DS and DD are had nutella. It was a popular decision.

The silkies woke everyone up this morning as the white one laid an egg and apparently she needed to spend an hour announcing this.

Dd is quite sleepy as she worked a lot yesterday and will be out with her boyfriend for his birthday today.

DS goes back soon but been so lovely to have him overnight.

Made pancakes for the kids. Getting on with some housework. Gave Mum and mil their flowers yesterday. Will go to shopping centre for a late lunch and then dd has an event to attend. Then home, relax, movie with dh and bed. Looking forward to it.

I was awake at 6, the sun was shining, the birds were tweeting, great start to the day!!

My Mum is in NZ, so I rang her last night (she gave birth to me in England, so we celebrate both!!) I think her card is still being held hostage by the postal service though 😔

I haven't done anything useful so far and it's not looking likely for the rest of the day either 😜

Happy mothers day! I have pegged out two loads of washing and have all the doors and windows open as its a lovely day for a change. DH is beavering away in the kitchen doing lunch as his parents are coming soon. DS rang me to wish me happy mothers day so had a long chat, other DS is travelling south america but sent a card and they both clubbed together to buy me a fabulous teriyaki grill thing, cant wait to use it. I will be opening wine soon and enjoying lunch.
