Who wants to join the didn’t get anything for Mother’s Day club?

To be fair I did get a card the kids made with their granny last week. But nothing coordinated or from DH.
I don’t mind too much apart from DD had ideas for Mother’s Day she wanted to speak to husband about so I guess my expectations were something might be afoot. Alas, no!

I had the cards made at school and nothing else. Which is absolutely fine.

Knowing a friend is struggling today because cancer (in her 20s) took away her chances of having children, really puts it into perspective...

I'm sure the people out there who have lost their mothers would do absolutely anything to join this club of yours.

See also mums who have lost their children.

You’re allowed to feel shit OP. Just because some people might have it “worse” it doesn’t invalidate your feelings. I had a miscarriage and stay in hospital on Wednesday just gone, and also have a 7YO. My husbands done nothing. Men are a disgrace sometimes.

One of mine rarely remembers. He's an adult. I'm not bothered at all. I know how important I am to him and if I ask him to do something for me he is always happy to do it, and that matters more than a card.

Yes some mothers have lost their own mothers or some have lost their children... so yes, some perspective is a good thing to have but OP is allowed to feel disappointed that her children and H haven't done anything for her. How hard is it ?!

The jury is out for meny DH went to stay with some friends yesterday and overnight and he is on his way home so I am wondering if he has remembered!
I missed a parcel yesterday though so maybe he had organised something unfortunately I was out. So missed the parcel and it's gone back to the depot..

I'm so far not overly impressed I had the kids all to myself this weekend. It's hard work with a 1 and 3 yr old.
