I read two books by the same author recently, and cannot remember the name of the or the author, and I really want to recommend them to family.
set in Ireland, in a village relatively near Galway. The lead is a menopausal Gardai sergeant who runs the local station, but her life - her lovely mum and gorgeous builder husband - are every bit as important as the crimes.
there are strong elements of the traveller community within the books too.
