There is a massive spider under my bed…

And I can’t bloody find it now! I watched it scurry under there but by the time I got the spider grabber (humane!) it’s disappeared under there.
I have a fear of them. Is it likely to scurry into my mouth overnight Sad.

Ask it to sweep up whilst it's there 😀 it won't cause you any problems, it'll just be looking for some insects to eat.

MaydinEssex · 18/03/2023 22:40

I'd sleep downstairs if I was you! I would also shut the bedroom door and put a towel against the bottom so it couldn't crawl out, then get a brave friend/neighbour to look for the 8 legged beast tomorrow!

BillyMack · 18/03/2023 22:40

Have you checked your jar of olives?

Dogs4Ever · 18/03/2023 22:43

@BillyMack 😂
@WindsChange you cannot sleep in there 😱

Trudeknows · 18/03/2023 22:46

Get the vacuum out

Codswallop20 · 18/03/2023 22:49

Burn the house down and leave.

CatchHimDerry · 18/03/2023 22:52

I would totally do this but I'm terrified of spiders!!

Codswallop20 · 18/03/2023 22:56

I Henry hoovered one big ass spider once and the damn thing crawled back out. Only a burning and exorcism will save you

So am I!

SweetPetrichor · 18/03/2023 22:58

If it helps, I can pretty much guarantee that they will not walk across you. I keep spiders and tarantulas as pets and they do not like to walk on human skin. They’re not daft - they know you’re a big scary monster! They just want to scurry from A to B without being seen by you or anyone else. It’ll be off down a crack and under your floor by now.

Soproudoflionesses · 18/03/2023 23:02

Yeah you need ro burn the house down and get the hell out of there!

mrsrobin · 18/03/2023 23:03

Think I would be on the sofa tonight!

Mojoj · 18/03/2023 23:14

Spiders are our friends!!! Leave them alone ffs!!!

They are NOT my friends. Categorically.

LilylilyDaisy · 18/03/2023 23:21

It'll have long gone by now. Wish it well (spiders do an amazing job) and forget about it.

TwoMonthsOff · 18/03/2023 23:22

oh he’s okay ….i expect he just wants to live a peaceful life, imagine being petrified of being killed every second of your existence. They’re harmless and deserve their life as we do our lives

TwoMonthsOff · 18/03/2023 23:24

Really ? Would you really become an arsonist and lose thousands of pounds over a spider? you’d get no insurance as arson is arson ….really ? Over a spider 🤷🏻‍♀️

snitzelvoncrumb · 18/03/2023 23:25

Do you need the name of a good real estate agent?

MotherOfPuffling · 18/03/2023 23:27

Hoover it up and then put the hoover under cover in the garden so it can crawl out far far away from you!

MeinKraft · 18/03/2023 23:31

Once they go out of sight they cease to exist. Forget all about it!

Dogs4Ever · 18/03/2023 23:45

@TwoMonthsOff I think you're taking people rather literally 😂 it's a long-standing Mumsnet joke to burn the house down. Nobody will actually do it...

TwoMonthsOff · 18/03/2023 23:54

I like them 🕷️

TwoMonthsOff · 18/03/2023 23:55

@Dogs4Ever I know ….imagine exposing that to the insurance Co
