What's wrong with my right eye?

When I move my eye side to side (looking to the left and right), it hurts.

When I close my eye and gently press on it, it hurts as well.

I have had this since this morning.

What could this be? xx

Are colours washed out in your vision in that eye? (Cover the other eye to see) Particularly red?

Stye?

No, it's not stye. Basically, the entire eye ball seems tender

Eye strain?

No, I can see colours clearly

Do you wear contacts? Could be an ulcer.

Possibly early sign of iritis (uveitis).

I would pop into/call the optician and see if they can have a look. I had similar and optician diagnosed a strain in one of the muscles that control the eyeball (must have eyerolled too hard!). But they said it’s good to get any unusual eye pain/changes checked.

Get an appointment at an optician. It doesn't matter what it is/isn't, your eyes are important. They will do various tests and gaze deeply into the back of your eye and tell you what is going on.
I've been there and I was told my issue was a less dodgy version of 2 issues.
