A couple of bits of background.
MN is the only SM I do. Am not on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc. I do have a Facebook account, but rarely posted and haven’t logged into it for a few years. Everyone in my circle knows I don’t “do” FB so they’d never post something for me to see.
My mum is late 70’s and, bless her, can make technology go wrong from 20 paces! Often get along the lines of “… and then it just started doing xyz”. She also isn’t in the best of health and can’t really go anywhere without assistance.
I spoke to her yesterday evening for a catch-up. A couple of hours later, a good friend called me to ask if my mum was ok. She said a video had been posted on mum’s account that seemed weird and she thought I ought to know. I dug out my password and checked it out. It’s in very low light, but is basically footage of her living room as it would look from her position sitting on the sofa. It’s mostly static, though the view does move slightly as if the camera shifts from her left to right-hand side. It lasts around 45 seconds.
I phoned my mum to check she was ok and explained. She swears blind she a) hasn’t taken a video and b) she wouldn’t have a clue how to post it.
I’m not a whizz with tech myself, but I do manage to muddle through! My question is, is it fairly easy/possible to accidentally take/upload a video to FB? I’ve occasionally picked my phone up awkwardly and accidentally taken a screenshot of my locked iPhone screen. Has she got a ghost? Is her cat pranking her? Has her phone been hacked (far fetched, but reaching for ideas!). I’m going over later to do her shopping, so just looking for ideas as to what to checkout on her devices. She has an iPhone SE and an Amazon Fire tablet.
My life was definitely a bit simpler when she only had a landline 🤣
