Does hypnosis work?

I need help with binge eating. I've tried everything, cold turkey, various diets, therapy. I just can't stop, it's ruining my life and I've lost sight of what normal eating is. I'm also on the cusp of being diabetic.

I've had therapy but I don't have the focus to do the tasks, I think I might have adhd because my brain can never focus or absorb information.

Has anyone had hypnosis and might it work?

I used the clear minds recordings for binge eating and I felt like they definitely worked. I noticed it immediately curbed my appetite , but also after a few weeks I noticed I just wasn’t buying ‘binge foods’ at the supermarket anymore. You do need to keep up the process and keep listening though and I do think you have to believe it will work and be open to it. I would happily recommend the clearminds ones.

It worked for me with drinking, and a friend of mine had real success with food - she used Paul Mckenna. In both cases, we wanted to change our habits/ways we thought about drink/food, and there was a book to read and a cd/download to listen to on a regular basis. So, there is a need to commit a bit of time and be open to it.

Good to hear. These get really good reviews, so I've just bought them.

I had hypnotherapy for anxiety around driving. It helped loads.

Thank you I have got a session booked with a hypnotist virtually so hoping it will work! I can't rely on willpower anymore then beat myself up when it doesn't work.

I’ve had success using hypnosis on a couple of occasions. I used a childbirth hypnosis cd when pregnant with dc2 and had an amazing pain free birth. Since then, I’ve used different recordings for anxiety, concentration etc.

I’ve never seen hypnotist in-person but with recordings I’ve found 85% of them really annoying, but the other 5% really effective.
