Weekend plans?

What's everyone up to this weekend?

We've got a bit of a busy one. We live in Scotland but have to go to NI for a flying visit to the in-laws as FIL has rapidly advancing dementia and dh is next of kin (parents long divorced). So on the morning ferry, visit to fil in care home, talk with care home about moving fil, visit to fil's partner, evening with mil and then on the lunchtime ferry home tomorrow! We do get to have Mother's Day morning with mil which will be nice for her as her other son is in Canada.

I'm looking forward to my Mother's Day roast dinner tomorrow night when all the travelling is over!!

Have a good one everyone!😁

Oh also we are not doing mothers day. DS1 has autism and gets stressed if it is not done right (according to whatever expectations he has in his head) so i suggested we skip it this year and he just gives me a cuddle.

A no work weekend! DH and DS 2 are away for the afternoon but DS 1 will prob be skulking around annoying me. Love the peace when all are out. Once showered and dog walked I’ll get on with tidying and sorting garden, cut back all the over grown bits. Recycling, nip to parents with a Mother’s Day gift, then relax with some wine etc. Dinner made yesterday (chilli) so feeling v pleased with myself.

Will be taking the children to the park shortly while dh has a lie in. Then home for lunch before taking ds1 to a party. Will probably take ds3 too (baby) while dh takes ds2 out somewhere. Tomorrow I'll have a lovely mother's day lie in followed by "surprise plans" made by the children. As they're 4 and 3 I'm fully expecting a family trip to a farm or softplay

Just about to start on giving the house a quick clean and will then set off on a longish walk with the dog and will stop for some lunch at a cafe. Going to pick up something for tea, thinking of having chicken burgers with chips and salad.
No plans for tomorrow yet!

Meeting friends for brunch this morning, then other friends for coffee this afternoon. Need to do some hoovering and get some towels washed later. DS (15) is still asleep and going out with his mates later so I doubt I'll see him at all until tonight. Tomorrow DS and I will go to my mum's for mother's day and have a bit of an afternoon tea at her house.

Spring Equinox on Monday so I'm cleaning the flat, doing laundry and taking stuff to the charity shop. My partner's done something to his foot and can't walk so I'll probably go to the urgent care unit at the local hospital too.

I'm visiting my Dad in his care home this morning then going to the opticians and then meeting a friend for a cuppa today. I will also need to get some food as my sister has invited herself to stay. I'm not pleased about this as she's both dull and spouts toxic stuff about another of my sisters and I'm tired and a bit under the weather. Meanwhile my niece (her daughter) who is staying with me after a break up will be coming back from a skiing trip. Tomorrow I have the delight of going to my Dads flat to meet a furniture dealer.

Morning all - sitting looking at my absolute wreck of a kitchen, not knowing where to start! I can barely see my kitchen table! The whole house resembles a warehouse. Trying to declutter gradually & need to do a charity shop run at some point. I want to get a cleaner in after payday so need to shift all the various crap! DD14 has gone out for a walk. I was supposed to drop her off at a local attraction to meet a friend but their Dad’s car has broken down & she won’t be going until later. Unfortunately I’m working but only 4 hours. Will have brunch before I go. Not much planned for tonight beyond pasta bake & broccoli for tea. Might watch a film with DH.
DD barely knows it’s Mothers Day tomorrow & she won’t have bought anything 😢 I’ve bought a plant in a pretty china jug & a card for DM which I’ll pop round in the afternoon I expect. We were planning to have chippy tea as they do a special with pulled pork, chips, gravy, stuffing & applesauce in a Yorkshire pud but now I fancy having Chinese delivered. Remembered there’s some mini spring rolls in the freezer so will have those for a starter. DH working today & off tomorrow. He’s had an epic bike mending over about 2 weeks & can’t wait to get back in the saddle sometime over the weekend. I will fit in a walk or two as trying to up my steps.
