Completely fluffed it today - spelled 1A wrong and couldn't spot it despite staring for ages! As a result couldn't get the PW

2D a tricky one for 2nd day in a row. Not familiar with the word. I think my average time has now come down to +/- 1m30 when it used to be 2m - progress (til i take 8 mins tomorrow)

I'm surprised that people are saying they found that one trickier - it didn't feel particularly harder than recent ones.

However, on the Q&A session on Tuesday, the Telegraph's setter (Chris Lancaster) did say they aim to get harder as we go through the week with Saturday and Sunday being easier, so Friday should be the hardest day! (As he commented, difficulty is often in the eye of the solver).

What I find hard about Plusword is (a) it's not always responsive when I try to type things in, esp the first time when I find I have to tap the first letter space twice to get it to accept the first one across, & (b) it doesn't give you the leftover letters to construct the PW from, as Wordle & Quordle do.

I didn't know 1A or 4D until I had most of the letters in, and I went astray with 1D at first too. Got the PW easily though
