Help! Can I fix a curled leather flap on mulberry Bayswater?

Dug mine out of the cupboard and didn’t realise this kind of thing had happened. Is there a way to flatten the flaps down again so they’re not curled up?

I’d imagine dampen the area and put a weight on until it dries. I have a slight curl on my Alexa I cured that way.
Makes sure the weight is smooth and covers it up so as not to leave any marks. And give it a good moisturise after.
