Sparkling wine & wine stoppers

If you're not finishing a bottle in one evening, how do you keep your sparkling wine for the next day? A lot of basic wine stoppers seem to pop off due to the gas. Is there a particular type of stopper that works best?

I solve the problem by making sure I drink it all!

seriously, I will be interested in the answer to this.

Pop a teaspoon in the neck of the bottle and enjoy the next day! Always works - Champagne, prosecco, cava, you name it.

I got something like this which at the time was £1 On Amazon. Always worked well. I also got a personalised one as a birthday present 😂 also wanted works well.

Yes supermarkets sell “fizz keepers” usually near the prosecco/champagne. They clip on to the top of the bottle. I have one from Waitrose.

All the sparkling wine stoppers I have are great. Have never had one pop off and have a couple different types…

Was just about to say that. Brilliant

Teaspoon in the bottle neck always works for me on the rare occasion I don’t finish it!!

You need a 'champagne fresh' - it's like a vacuvin in reverse! It pumps air in rather than taking it out. You can keep a half bottle for up to 3 weeks (experiment with a bottle which I didn't like - normally it wouldn't be kept that long!) I have quite a few still boxed so if you want to message me I'll post one to you.

The teaspoon thing is an old wives tale....

Just drink it, FGS. Live a little.
