I bought a birdhouse for the garden and painted it mustardy yellow colour.

But does your DM actually want anything ..my own DM has made it absolutely clear that she does not want or need anything else in her life now . I do give her a card and invite her to lunch but she genuinely does not want any more 'stuff'.

I've bought some shampoo/conditioner that my DM likes but can't now get out to buy, as I know it'll get used. This is rather than buying something that will gather dust!
