Quick poll needed, can I put feta in my mashed potato?

It’s a bit astringent for my tastes so I’m going to say no. Plus sometimes it melts weird.

Maybe just add an extra bit of butter or stir in some chopped spring onion to give it some flavour?

It wont melt as well as Cheddar or Mozzarella and may give it a tangy finish. I would do it if I didn't have any other cheese though.

I love feta and mashed potato (with a bit of lemon) but its very different than standard cheesy mash and I don't think it would work on shepherd's pie. I'd forgot the cheese rather than substitute
