Anyone own an Indesit washing machine?

My washing machine died last week and I foolishly purchased a new one that I could get delivered in the quickest time.

It's an Indesit. So far it's working ok and I quite like it.
Problem is I've just stumbled across some terrifying news articles about them causing fires and millions being recalled. I now feel sick with worry.

Can anyone please reassure me that they have an Indesit and it's safe and reliable?

I will learn from this and do my research in the future!

I've got an Indesit which we've had since 2014. No problems or worried with it. Had to have the engineer out the other day as it stopped suddenly and all the lights were flashing. It was nothing more than a colour catcher sheet having got caught. All quickly and easily sorted.

I would have another one.

I'm on my second Indesit - the first one lasted about 7 years, no issues with it; it 'died' harmlessly when the drum stopped spinning.

The last recall that I can see was in 2020 so if you've only just bought it you should be OK.

I have had two, latest is now a few years old and this is the first I have heard about any recalls?

There have been a couple - Google 'Indesit recall' Might be worth checking yours isn't on there - you can check the model number online.

I will keep an eye on the recalls from now on.
