What do you do on rainy days?

Just that really. Looking out the window. It's my day off and we've had rain ALL day and all day yesterday too.

I've really suffered with SAD this Winter and last Winter. I need to prepare in advanced for Winter 2023.

But what do you do on gloomy rainy days / weekends? With or without kids.

We don't have a lot of indoor things in Cornwall and there's only so many times you can visit Eden and the Museum.

I have baked a cake and went out for a rainy run. Its so dreary.

Book a badminton court.
Baking.
Painting and crafts.

Watching TV in PJs.

@Notparticularlyslappable I love swimming. Where do you go? I don't enjoy lane swimming so the local Better Leisure pool isn't ideal for me. And we don't have much else.

I'd happily pay membership for a private pool though 😊

Thanks everyone! Some of these posts have made me feel warm and fuzzy. Some have made me appreciate how lucky I am. And some have given me great ideas on hobbies.

I really struggle with reading but the answer is so obviously Audiobooks! I need to sort a subscription. I love learning and escapism so I think audiobooks could be my new thing x

Atlantic Reach. Its a very friendly gym with hardly any beefcake types. Pools nice and warm too with lanes and a general splash around area. Only thing it's lacking is a jacuzzi.

@Notparticularlyslappable absolutely hooting at "beefcake types"

😂

I am not keen on the rain as it makes my hair go like Hagrid's !

However............ I have three little doggies who crave their walk so I take them out every day - rain or shine - and deal with the hair when necessary. Afterwards I am always glad we went out because a rainy day is still a day in your life you should not waste... so I tells meself.

We find Cornwall tricky in the winter months too due to lack of indoor things.
Our go to normally is to go for a mooch around trago to see who can find the weirdest/stupid/ugly thing.

I went to Trago today. Found the ugliest / weirdest thing 😂 it was very fun!!

I have horses and dogs so I have to do the same as I do every single day of the year! Get out in it and walk dogs exercise horses. It's horrible!
