Just wondering as from social media it seems like most kids are living their best lives and taking advantage of the cheaper/quieter days out at soft play, theme parks, the zoo etc. My 2 in primary are in school as their teachers aren't striking. Dc1 is home from college doing his coursework and my 2 in secondary school are at home doing online learning 2021 style.
Secondary school was open to 3 year groups, vulnerable dc and dc of key workers during the first strike. Then last time it was 2 year groups and this week it's just year 11's plus vulnerable/key worker children in school. So I'm getting the impression that lots of parents gave it a try and are not managing. My year 10 is doing ok and getting on with things but my year 7 needs a fair bit of supervision to make sure he's doing his work and not playing roblox or watching someone build a maze for their cat on YouTube. It's just about doable but I think we would both rather be at the zoo!
